Meet The Chiropractors

Our clinic consists of 6 chiropractors, Drs. Brian & Karla Parkhurst, Dr. James Friess, Dr. Jeremy Lengkeek, Dr. Matthew Meiste and Dr. Russell Sweet. All 6 doctors are graduates of Palmer College of Chiropractic and use diversified, Gonstead, Thompson drop, toggle, activator and active release adjusting techniques.

Our Doctors have been alleviating people's pain since January 2000 at the clinic in Holland, MI. We provide compassionate care of structural problems by experienced doctors.

We use a "whole person approach" when taking care of patients by combining the very best hands-on-technique and state of the art rehabilitative procedures to facilitate the healing of damaged tissues and improve the nervous system's inborn ability to function. We offer a variety of affordable and accurate testing to determine what your optimal nutritional needs are utilizing bio-identical hormones and whole food natural supplements and amino acid therapy. Our doctors are able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.

Meet Dr. Brian Parkhurst DC

Dr. Brian Parkhurst

Drs. Brian & Karla co-founded Parkhurst Chiropractic in January 2000. Dr. Brian is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa and a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a degree in Parks and Recreational Administration.

Dr. Brian enjoys working with babies, children and athletes in sports performance and rehabilitation.

Dr. Brian enjoys boating, hunting and falconry. He resides in Hamilton with his wife, Dr. Karla.

Meet Dr. Karla Parkhurst DC

Drs. Brian & Karla co-founded Parkhurst Chiropractic in January 2000. Dr. Karla is a 1999 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa and received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Bacteriology. She furthered her education by obtaining her diplomate through the American Board of Academy of Anti-Aging Health Practitioners.

Dr. Karla's interests focus on women's health concerns such as balancing hormones, neurotransmitters and proper nutrition. She also helps patients with many conditions such as healthy aging, managing fatigue, fibromyalgia, hormone imbalances and weight management.

Dr. Karla enjoys the beautiful beaches in West Michigan. She resides in Hamilton with her husband, Dr. Brian.

Meet Dr. James Friess DC

Dr. James joined the staff of Parkhurst Chiropractic on October 27, 2003. He is a 2001 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa and a graduate of the University of Toledo with a degree in cell biology. Dr. Friess was among the first group from Palmer College to travel to Vietnam on a chiropractic mission trip.

In addition to his knowledge and experience in general chiropractic care, he also enjoys the challenge of working with sports injuries and rehabilitation, designing exercise programs for patients and securing pelvic stabilizers (orthotics) to assist his patients in living a pain-free life.

Dr. James enjoys golf, physical fitness, gourmet foods and reading. He resides in Holland with his wife Dianne.


Meet Dr. Jeremy Lengkeek DC

Dr. Jeremy joined the staff of Parkhurst Chiropractic in March 2010. He is a 2009 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Dr. Jeremy received both his Bachelor of Science in General Science and his Doctor of Chiropractic degrees from Palmer College.

Dr. Jeremy uses manual methods in the treatment of most structural problems, but is also trained in low force techniques utilizing instrument adjusting and soft tissue techniques to help restore muscle balance and joint function. His goal is to help patients achieve their optimal functional level.



Meet Dr. Matthew Meiste DC

Dr. Matt joined the staff of Parkhurst Chiropractic full time in June 2015 after completing his Intern Preceptorship Program here at Parkhurst Chiropractic under the direction of Dr. Brian. He is a 2015 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport Iowa. Dr. Matt was born and raised in Hamilton, MI. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Grand Valley University.

In addition to providing chiropractic care, Dr. Matt also enjoys working with extremities and sports injuries. His goal for his patients is to achieve THEIR goals; whether that be to get back on the golf course, or be able to spend time playing with the grandkids.

Dr. Matt lives in Holland, MI with his wife Allison. He enjoys downhill skiing, traveling and sports.


Meet Dr. Russell Sweet DC

Dr. Russell Sweet joined the staff of Parkhurst Chiropractic in June 2017. Dr. Russell Sweet received his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science at Western Michigan University and then went on to earn his Doctorate degree in Chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida. He is a Michigan native who graduated from Holland Christian High School in 2009.

After practicing in Florida and North Carolina Dr. Russell and his wife Jennifer decided to move back home with their 6 month old baby girl Lennon.
