At Parkhurst Chiropractic we would like to welcome our new doctor to the team, Dr. Russell Sweet.
Dr. Russell is a Holland, Michigan native who graduated from Holland Christian High School in 2009. Dr. Russell Sweet received his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science at Western Michigan University and then went on to earn his Doctorate degree in Chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida. After practicing in Florida and North Carolina Dr. Russell and his wife, Jennifer, decided to move back home with their 6 month old baby girl. Lennon. Dr. Russell enjoys running, hiking, camping, surfing, snowboarding, and of course spending time with his new family. He is very excited to be back home and serving the Holland/Zeeland community.
Dr. Russell has received multiple certifications in Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Functional & Kinetic Treatment with Rehabilitation (similar to graston) and RockTape.
When treating patients, Dr. Sweet assesses the body as a whole. This allows him to not only utilize traditional chiropractic adjustments, but functional movement techniques and rehabilitation that we have in the office. He likes to ensure everything is working together correctly so he can pinpoint the problem, alleviate the pain, decrease healing time and increase overall strength and movement of the body and muscles.
Whether you are participating in Iron Mans, weekly basketball games, daily surf sessions, occasional morning strolls, or watching our beautiful Michigan sunsets Dr. Russell wants you to move better so you can feel better.
